Mike Neatherton is a nationally recognized expert in the field of alcoholism and drug dependency treatment. With a behavioral healthcare career spanning more than 40 years, he has amassed unparalleled experience, insights, and relationships in the field of addiction, and brings those now to SolutionPoint Behavioral Health.
Prior to assuming the CEO role at SolutionPoint Behavioral Health, Mike served in executive positions at several leading addiction treatment centers, including Northbound Treatment Services and the Betty Ford Center, where he worked for more than 20 years. Mike’s focus on organizational health, authenticity, and clear communication have become the trademark of his personal brand of leadership.
Mike is a member of both the American College of Health Care Executives and the American College of Addiction Treatment Administrators. He has served as a distinguished faculty member of the West Coast Symposium on Addictive Disorders, the Addiction Executive Leadership Summit, and the Clinical Overview of the Recovery Experience. Mike is a founding member of the Onsite Leadership Forum and currently serves as a trustee for the Grace of God Foundation and the Harmon Family Foundation.
Mike also serves as a mentor and coach, passionately cultivating the next generation of industry leaders using the transformational leadership principles of transparency, authenticity, and collaboration.
Mike received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wright State University in 1975 and a Master of Science degree from Indiana State University in 1976.
He and his wife Maria have been married for more than 40 years and have three daughters – Michaela, Sarah and Caitlin – and three grandchildren: Willy, Amelia Jeanne, and Collette. They reside in Palm Desert, California.
