David Lloyd Malow
David Malow, CEO of Recovery GPS and former owner of Serenity Lane Transitional Sober Living Homes in Palm Desert California, received his certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist while working at The Riverside County Department of Mental Health in 2010. David helps to facilitate the Family Recovery Support Group group for Solution Point Behavioral Health, and works with clients at Desert Willow Wellness, Michaels House and Entera SLE as a Recovery Coach. David has worked in the mental health and addiction space since 2008 with individuals and their family’s. David facilitate groups with clients providing them with life skills and the tools to assist them on their own personal journey(s). He loves working with the entire family as it fuels his professional and personal passion to help others.
In 2009, he worked as a consultant at the Betty Ford Center and wrote the policies and procedures manual for their BFCSL Sober Living program. He received a scholarship from The Betty Ford Center to obtain his certification as a Grief Recovery Specialist at the Grief Recovery Institute in Los Angeles in 2008. Since 2005, David has been the liaison/lead alumni volunteer at the Betty Ford Center/Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, having served for over 6,000 hours. A lifelong resident of Southern California, David Malow is married to Joey Malow and they have a son, Max. David enjoys long-term sobriety & is a current board member at NAMI Riverside County, and a member of NAADAC, CCAR, Recovery View, and The Sober Living Network.
